Welcome! My name is Ankita—but feel free to call me Ank.
I’ve always had a wide range of interests. Some people call that being a Renaissance person, a sort of Leonardo da Vinci look-alike (in spirit, not talent). Others prefer the phrase “a jack of all trades, master of none.” Which one I believe myself to be on any given day depends on the weather, my mood, and how much sleep I got the night before.
Since childhood, I’ve switched career trajectories more times than I can count—much to my parents’ dismay and my own confusion. Over the years, I’ve entertained careers in art, medicine, the FBI, technology, writing, astrophysics, journalism, medicine again, and now—at least for the moment—technology, with writing and art always floating along in the background
Is it my fault that I’m interested in everything? Or does that mean I’m not truly interested in anything at all? The answer, as usual, depends on the day.
What is consistent, though, is this: no matter how much everything else shifted, I always wrote. I always made art.
These days, I spend my 9-to-5 tip-tapping away at code. Outside of that, you’ll usually find me writing or drawing—obsessively if I am in the groove.
A few facts about me:
- I studied Psychobiology and Film & TV Media at UCLA. I especially loved my screenwriting class. During COVID, I was so bored I wrote a 130-page screenplay.
- I later studied Data Science at the University of Chicago and lived in Lakeview East for a while. A truly beautiful neighborhood.
- I’m currently deep in the editing trenches of my children’s book. Exciting and gruesome.
When I am not tip-tapping on my computer or scratching my pencil on paper, I am probably experimenting with some new art project, watching movies, or spending as much time as I can with the people I love.
